Paul Pogba Dab as he scores his first-ever Manchester United goal with bullet header against Leicester

The Frenchman rose highest to head past helpless goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler and increase United's lead to four in a rampant opening 45 minutes


The Frenchman directly a bullet header past Ron-Robert Zieler to put United 4-0 up against reigning Premier League champions Leicester on Saturday.


His header capped a fine first half for Jose Mourinho's men, who look revitalised after successive league defeats.

Pogba had a new midfield partner for the occasion, as Ander Herrera's impressive performance at Northampton earned him a league start alongside the £89million man.


In his first spell at United, before leaving for Juventus, Pogba failed to find the net in his seven first-team appearances.

The crowd loved the goal, He found the net 34 times in his 178 appearances in Italy.

Pogba has been criticised for the manner in which he has returned to United, with numerous anonymous performances in the middle of the park.

However, a change of shape appears to have allowed Pogba to flourish against Leicester - and he got his just rewards with a goal.

Paul Pogba said he had not been distracted by negative media coverage surrounding Manchester United as he expressed his delight at scoring his first goal for the club.


United have endured a difficult spell after successive defeats to Manchester City, Feyenoord and Watford prior to a hard-fought 3-1 EFL Cup win over Northampton Town, but they put in an impressive showing on Saturday as they dispatched champions Leicester City 4-1.

Asked if the players had been affected by the criticism, he told Sky Sports: "Me, I never look at the newspapers. I always say one thing: It's at the end we will see. So at the end you will see."

He said: "I'm very happy for the result and for this goal. I hope it's not going to be the last one so just carry on. Keep doing what we did today."

He added: "We were very focused. We knew it was going to be difficult. The first four games we were good then after we knew it was going to be difficult.

"Today we showed on the pitch a very big performance for the team. We are happy. We want to carry on like this."
