AY Makun "I'm just a product of God's grace"

As easy as it would be to attribute AY's success to fetish practices, he insists it is a product of God's grace.

Ayo Makun, aka AY wants critics to know that his success is purely a product of grace and not 'juju' as has been speculated on various occasions.

Speaking with Punch in a recent interview, the popular comedian ran through his major achievements, which he believes were a big hit due to the grace of God.
AY said, “I am just a product of God’s grace. When I shot ‘30 days in Atlanta,’ I just set out to go there and have fun but a lot of people are attributing it to something else.

“They are saying maybe I did juju. I’ve heard all sorts and I’m beginning to suspect myself in the sense that anything I do always comes out well.
“My stand-up comedy show is one of the biggest in the country. Same with my TV show. I’m just a product of grace.
“That is what I tell people. Not because I am the best, not because I know how to do it better. I just have this shining light and I keep praying that the grace remains."

Attributing his success to God's grace, AY revealed that he had not seen it coming and now plans to bask in it for as long as it lasts.
“For now, let me enjoy my grace. I didn’t know I was going to make a difference, and right now, I am basking in that euphoria. I feel very happy. I didn’t see it coming, not even for a second.

“I mean, I always tell people, I used to go to the library back in the days to just grab that book and read. I had this impression that the people they featured probably had four heads.
“I never knew a day would come when I would see myself in the book. Maybe, somebody is reading it now and thinks AY has four heads too.” he jested.

AY went on to encourage upcoming acts to be determined assuring them that determination always pays off.
The 45-year-old comedian come a long way in the 10 years since he began his journey. AY is happily married and is father to a lovely daughter.

DSS Raid ‘Leave Buhari out of this matter,’ APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) not to accuse President Buhari of masterminding the raid on judges by security agencies.

The Department of State Services (DSS) raided the houses of four judges on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
The party also called on security agencies to always obey the rule of law when carrying out their duties.

The APC in a statement issued by its national Secretary, Mai Mala Buni, said “The All Progressives Congress (APC) is concerned about the desperation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and some of its governors to drag the President into circumstances surrounding the reported raids of the homes of some judges by the State Security Service (SSS).

“The President Muhammadu Buhari APC-led administration strictly respects the principle of the Rule of Law and also adheres to the constitutional provisions of Separation of Power between the three arms of government.

“While the Party calls on all security agencies to respect and be guided by the rule of law in carrying out its constitutional duties, the APC finds the actions of some PDP governors and the reckless unsubstantiated allegations levelled by the PDP on President Muhammadu Buhari as the architect of the SSS raids curious and suspicious.

“The APC suspects that the PDP and the Ekiti and Rivers State governors, Ayodele Fayose and Nyesom Wike have something to hide. This is a red flag that security agencies must not ignore.
“Meanwhile, the APC will not to join issues on matters before the courts because it will be sub judice. We advice the PDP to tow the same line and allow judicial processes run it normal and legitimate course.

“The repeated allegations that ongoing corruption investigations and trials are politically-motivated by the President and the APC are baseless. The APC urges Nigerians not to be distracted by the PDP and their agents plot to discredit the hugely-successful war against corruption. For the umpteenth time, the PDP does not have the luxury of dictating how the current administration carries out its legitimate duty of catching looters, as long as it conforms to the rule of law. “Meanwhile, the APC calls on security agencies to check the continued and increased spate of politically-motivated killings and violence being perpetuated under the watch of the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and the PDP in the state."

The presidency also released a statement saying that the DSS followed due process before carrying out the operation.

Germany blocks WhatsApp data transfers to Facebook

German data protection authorities on Tuesday said they had blocked Facebook from collecting subscriber data from its subsidiary WhatsApp, citing privacy concerns.

Facebook and WhatsApp promised in the wake of the Silicon Valley giant’s 2014 acquisition of the messaging app that they would not share data, Hamburg’s Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Johannes Caspar recalled in a statement.

He added that Facebook would be required to delete any data already received from WhatsApp in Germany.

“It has to be (the users’) decision whether they want to connect their account with Facebook,” Caspar said. “Facebook has to ask for their permission in advance.”

WhatsApp announced in August that it would begin sharing data with Facebook, in a bid to allow better targeted advertising and fight spam on the platform.

Currently, users of the instant messenger must opt out of sending information to Facebook through WhatsApp’s settings on their smartphone.

Caspar said that he had acted to protect the privacy of 35 million WhatsApp users in Germany — a fraction of some one billion worldwide — and that of people saved in their address books, whose details might also be forwarded under the data-sharing arrangement.

Facebook’s activities in German-speaking regions are managed through its subsidiary in Hamburg, placing the firm under the jurisdiction of the regulator in the northern port city.

Spokespeople for Facebook could not immediately be reached for comment on the ruling.

WhatsApp’s announcement that it would share information with Facebook came just four months after the service introduced end-to-end encryption by default, saying that the content of messages would become unreadable for anyone except the sender and receiver.

In mid-September, the European Commission recommended tighter privacy and security requirements for services including WhatsApp and Microsoft-owned video calling service Skype, saying they should be regulated more like traditional telecoms.

Subjecting the internet firms to such rules could force them to offer emergency calling services and to obey stricter privacy rules.

Lil’ Wayne Slams Drake For Betraying Him In Upcoming Memoir — ‘It Was The Worst Thing’

What a diss! Lil’ Wayne is spilling some serious tea in his new memoir about his eight month prison stint, and he says Drake admitted to sleeping with his girlfriend when he was behind bars! Keep reading for more on the shocking revelation that Drizzy made to his jailed friend.

Now that Lil’ Wayne is retiring from the rap game, he’s willing to start naming names and telling stories about other high-profile rappers involved in his life. In his new memoir “Gone Til’ November”, the 33-year-old takes stories he wrote in his prison diary and is putting them to life, including how Drake, 29, admitted to hooking up with his girlfriend while Weezy was doing an eight month prison stint on weapons charges in 2010.

The pair was labelmates at Young Money at the time when stories that Drizzy hooked up with Tammy Torres began circulating. Drake paid Wayne — real name Dwayne Carter Jr. — a visit while he was locked up in Rikers Island correctional facility and confirmed the awful news. “Finding out that she f***ed Drake was the absolute worst thing I could have found out. Drizzy came to see me, he was like, ‘Yeah, it’s true’. Damn! This is the type of s**t a man never wants to find out while he is locked up,” he writes in the new book. Day-um Drake! Way to kick a guy when he’s down, not to mention what a total violation of the guy-code.

Fortunately for Lil’ Wayne, not all visits by his celebrity rapper friends were so heartbreaking and awful. He details how superstars like Kanye West, 39, and P. Diddy, 46, came by to lift his spirits, and thankfully didn’t spill such hurtful news. It’s amazing that Drizzy and Weezy were able to patch things up after something so painful, as they later went on to become tour partners in 2014 and are still friends to this day.
